Shopping Snapshots – March 14th 2011
I was a super-duper good girl this week. Not even €40 for 14 meals! This week has been one of my “more calories, less cost” notions, partly because I was beavering away at Irish-style recipes such as Steak & Guinness Pies and Whiskey Cake for the week that’s in it, and also because I fancied a good hearty (read: fattening) pasta dish for lunch. This I got with my Chorizo Arrabiata, and then in an attempt to curtail the calories somewhat (and due to half price mushrooms in Lidl), mushroom soup for supper every evening. Needless to say, I found room in the budger for some great, cheap wine (usually an oxymoron) too!
I’m rather proud of my €36 shop this week, so much so that opps, shucks, tripped and fell into ASOS. Hate when that happens…:)
