Lidl Special Offers – until Sunday 27th
First up, Lidl offers expiring tomorrow (Wednesday) include €2 rindless back bacon 
rashers, although to be fair, the photo appears to show a significant enough rind for me to question the title somewhat. Also 59c cabbage and sausages, although I can imagine which will be more popular out of those two…also up is €1 off the 400g mature cheese block and 20% off yoghurt pots. BOGOF applies to 0% fat Vitalinea, and there’s a bottle of Pays d’Oc red wine for €4 if you’re tempted.
The rest of the specials run until Sunday, and include highlights of €2 Hellman’s mayonnaise (don’t get excited, they’re exactly the same in Tesco & Superquinn, in fact the Superquinn one’s in the squeezy bottle) although €1 Hovis ‘Best of Both’ loaf if you’ve got fussy bread-eaters at home could be a good buy.
Students rejoice, all week €10 Vodka and €5 6 packs of Pils, Pepperoni Pizza square for €2.49, and various pies for €1.75-€1.99.
From Thursday to Sunday there’s €1 off turkey breast steaks which brings them down to 430g for €2.59 – not bad going at all. It’s also €1 off Vitality Drinks, making them €1.49 for 6, pretty close to the BOGOF offer Tesco often run on probiotic drinks.
If, like me, you love the Deli aspect to Aldi and Lidl, you’ll like the €3 salami sausages and 89c kind-of-feta cheese (it says ‘Greek Style’),
On Saturday I’ll be nipping in myself, albeit early lest I miss out like I did with the quarter bottles of vino – for the Irish Beef Meatballs, which are down to €1.69 for 12. While you’re there, you can have €3.19 Rioja, €2.75 Walkers 20-Pack crisps or, if you’re brave enough, half price grape juice.
