Dunnes Special Offers: Until 14th February

Dunnes Stores is not to be outdone in the Valentine’s race, matching Lidl’s price of €3.99 for a dozen roses! Is it just me or is anybody else baffled they can go so cheap?  It was only a few Celtic Tiger years ago that a dozen roses would set you back at the very minimum thirty bucks. That is change indeed.

Also on offer for Valentines is half price choccies and Haagen Daz, and Champagne Lanvin for €15, so no need to wait for Lidli’s Saturday special if you’re feeling like a touch of decadence.  A great offer I’ll definitely be availing of is two fillet steaks for €6 – extraordinary value, I just hope they’re not tiny little farty patches of cow when I do make it into the store.

Among the great offers on staples are Nestle Cereals for €2, so if you’re a Cheerios fan, get thyself into Dunnes pronto. Also 3 Kelloggs cereals for the price of two, if any of you heroes are still on the Special K diet a month and a half post-New Year resolution.

There is 33% of pork, bringing the different cuts down to €5.69 to €5.99, matching the offers on the go at the moment in the other stores. They also have two 1.3kg chickens for €6, not quite kicking Superquinn’s great offer out of bed, but edging closer than the others have.
